
Wanted: Volunteers With Caring Hearts
Volunteers are needed to offer respite, spiritual support, and companionship for home patients and families of Florida Hospital HospiceCare in Volusia and Flagler Counties. All volunteers will receive training to prepare them for their role.
To get involved - attend our next Hospice 101 Orientation Meeting.
By the close of a Hospice 101 Orientation Session, attendees will:
- Have a basic understanding hospice philosophy & of the role of hospice in providing for the needs of patients and their families.
- Become acquainted with the roles of the interdisciplinary team.
- Have a basic understanding of the volunteer program.
- Be aware of the application process, the volunteer training course requirements and the responsibilities for completing the HospiceCare Volunteer Certification Program.
- Become acquainted with the opportunities available to volunteers.
