Volunteering
Consider becoming a Florida Hospital HospiceCare volunteer! Areas of service include direct patient care, clerical and administrative support, fundraising, and special events. Visit our Volunteer Page for more information.
Volunteers fill many roles at Florida Hospital HospiceCare. They are an important part of the patient care team, providing a special kind of caring and compassion to our patients and their families. HospiceCare volunteers are trained by our professional staff and receive certification for their training.
Our newest volunteers are the “4-legged” kind. Our “Hospooch Team” is a breed above and is our pet therapy program.
Another service offered through our volunteer program is HospiceCare Horticulture Therapy. This therapy offers patients and their caregivers a chance to learn more about plants and receive the benefits of relaxation, creative expression, sensory stimulation, intellectual and personal growth, social interaction, a sense of productivity and self-satisfaction while experiencing a spiritual connection to life.
