The Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House
Built through the strong community committment present in Flagler County, the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House (SFMHH) opened in April of 2007. The facility houses 8 private rooms and provides a "homelike" atmosphere for the patients and their families. 112 patients received acute level hospice care there in 2007 with over 15% receiving that care through the generousity of those who have donated to SFMHH which supports our committment that no one will be turned away for hospice care regardless of their ability to pay.
Keeping the Dream Alive
Stuart F. Meyer had a dream to create a place where someone who needed the special kind of care that hospice brings could live out their final days with dignity and with the support of a great team of professionals. That dream was realized with the opening of the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House (SFMHH) in April of 2007. The majority of funds raised to support the building of the hospice house were local dollars and that kind of community involvement continues each and every day to keep the dream alive.
